This flooring is contstructed from layers of softwood, including a hardwood engineered core with a hardwood wear layer of up to 4 mm thick. Single planks widths or 2 or 3 strip boards are available.
Prefinished veneer flooring come in widths up to approximately 210 mm wide and 2400mm long and are 14 or 15 mm thick. Each board is tongue and grooved on all four sides.
These floors are floated onto the sub-floor by lining the sub-floor with a polyfoam underlay and laying the flooring by gluing the prefinished flooring boards together.
There are a wide variety of different wood types available as well as a choice of laquered or hardwax oil finishes.
